Inthe 1970's there was a move away from cast metal typeface printing. New companies such as Panache, Face Photosetting and Conways forged a new way of getting type to print designers called photosetting. This allowed young designers a new way into type design and created a whole new look for typography, this of course would be superceded by computer aided type some 20 years later.
